My weekend at the Super Soap thingy...

I was sooooo exited to be going to this thing...I know that some people think its stupid, but I can't help it..I am hooked.
We left home at 7 a.m. and got to MGM Studios at 8:30. It took 25 minutes to get thru the ticket line. My sister has a season pass, so we just had to wait for my ticket. We finally get thru. The first star we saw was Jacob Young, who plays JR on All My Children. We didn't get the fast passes to get you face to face w/ the stars, but it didn't matter. We were RIGHT there. He seemed very nice. Something funky with his teeth, but more on that later.
After leaving JR, we ran into (and I mean literally) the guy that plays Jonathon on All My Children. He was being escorted into the bathrooms, and we weren't paying attention. And literally bumped right into his entourage. He,too was very nice. And coming up right behind him was Cameron Matheson...he plays Jonathons brother, Ryan Lavery, on the show. He was full of smiles, and was also very pleasant..Again, funky teeth.
I am not gonna go into every star person by person. We saw EVERYONE. Even Steve Burton, who plays, of course, Jason Morgan on General Hospital. But he was impossible to get close to. Women were EVERYWHERE...lol...But when he came out to the crowd, he came out RIGHT where we were standing. And we were gonna give up. Go figure.
Most of them were soooo nice. Alexa Havins (Babe Chandler) was sooo sweet. She talked to you like she's known you her whole life, and her real life husband, who plays Jamie Martin, is just as sweet. They both posed for pictures, and gave anyone who could get close enough, an autograph. The one that I thought was most handsome, moreso than I would have thought was Micheal Easton, who plays John McBain on One Life to Live. He looks great on the show, but 50 times moreso in real life. LOL...he actually took my breath away, he was so handsome. We caught the guy that plays Christian Vega taking a smoke break. He was very quiet. But at least smiled at us...
All the women were way prettier than they seem...Almost too beautiful. They were all so damn skinny...and beautiful. I guess I said that already, but really....
So, now on to the teeth thing...I would say that at least 95 % of these people have veneers...But they LOOK like they have them. NOBODY'S teeth looked real...It was very bizarre...I don't know how to explain it...After Jacob Young, I looked at everyone's teeth. By the end of the day, all I saw was teeth. Especially the women, but it looked more dramatic on the men...so unnatural.
I really don't mean to sound mean. I really don't...I am just trying to say how very bizarre and surreal the whole thing was...lol
But, besides that...it was totally awesome...I can't describe how it felt to see the people that I watch on a daily basis, and do it credit. Surreal, bizarre, wonderful, awesome....All of that...and more...I wish I could've gone for the whole weekend...Seeing THE Susan Lucci and Erika Sleazak...wow....beyond words...
But thats enough about that...needless to say it was a great time, and I look forward to going again next year...
Have a great day!!

I love being excited! The anticipation and the adrenalin make us young again :)

I can imagine how awesome it must be to meet your hero's face to face. Hope the good feeling lasts a long long time.
